The refs did you hard on this one, but you guys played well.
Even for an expansion team, I can’t see you ending the season at the bottom of the table. I’m sure you guys will hit good form in the summer.
I wonder if there are any Montreal Impact fans on here…
I feel like I’ve asked this before. :p
EDIT: Looks like I have. Huh.
Nice to get a sneak peek at the new kids on the block.

Ouch. He got his ribs broken by Greg Sutton? :\
I wish Hot the best with recovery and I hope he gets to prove himself somewhere, but as a NYRB fan, I can’t help but feel like we dodged a bit of a bullet here. Seeing as it was Sutton, maybe two bullets.
Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.
The guys in the Montreal FO are no fools.
With Donovan Ricketts, Zarek Valentin, Justin Mapp, Sanna Nyassi, Justin Braun, and Mike Fucito on the roster, this is certainly a team to watch.
I think we may have all underestimated what Montreal’s bringing to the league:

We might have an East Coast Seattle on our hands.
I just read an interesting point on BigSoccer; I wonder if mlssoccer.com will soon be featured in French, now that Montreal has been added to the league.
If the rumors of that Del Piero to Montreal transfer are true, that would be the most “Oh God, why?” transfer of all time.
The captain of Juventus, Serie A’s current league leaders, leaving his club for an MLS expansion team in the middle of the season?
Why would you do that?
I’m getting tickets for the Disney Pro Soccer Classic. I’ll get to see Houston vs Montreal.
Oh god if Brian Ching plays

“So I really have to play here?”

Here are two mockups I’ve done for the Columbus Crew and the Montreal Impact, whose kits had a lot more potential:

I gave Columbus the Liverpool away with some minor adjustments. I think black pinstripes work well for them, and I think they should’ve gone in this direction for their new kits.

It really bothered me that although Montreal had stripes on their badge, they didn’t find a way to integrate that design into their kit. Plus, the blue of their kit is lighter than the blue of their badge.
So while blue and black stripes would have been rather loud on a jersey, I decided to give them the AC Milan away kit with a white and black stripe on the left side, running behind the badge; I also made the kit a darker blue than the San Jose-type blue they seem to be using now.
Comments/criticisms welcome.
I’m so disappointed in Columbus’ and Montreal’s kits, I think I’m going to do mockups of what they should’ve been.

Wow, Montreal; I’m so underwhelmed, it hurts.
I really thought you guys would go with the black/blue stripes (a la Inter Milan)… these are a bit more San Jose… but they’re all right.
At least BMO’s finally sponsoring a team from Montreal. :p
