I think they came out okay.
Sam requested that I make a crest and a kit for a hypothetical second Brisbane club, so I had him send me the city’s coat of arms/flag and I came up with this:

There’s West Sydney; I played around with a PSG-type design until I realized that Gold Coast already has something similar. So I gave them the Celtic away hoops, so they keep the Flamengo-type look but with a little Sao Paulo-type white piping.
And I made the collar white to give the kit some personality.

Here’s a Barcelona home kit mockup. I know what you’re thinking: “Barcelona with a collar?”
Yes, Barcelona with a collar.

And here’s an away; it’s not entirely better than their away kit for next season, but it’s inspired by the Catalan flag (hence the cuffs).
To be honest, I like the way the home came out a lot better than the away, but it was worth a shot.
I’ve done a lot of mockups for other teams, but I’ve thought of this scenario lately, and I wanted to explore the team identity possibilities if Red Bull ever sold NY’s MLS team.

Bayer Leverkusen mockup, inspired by the LA Galaxy’s new home kit.

Got bored, made a Liverpool mockup. Decided to put a bit of teal trim around the V-neck, to match the Shankly Gates design on the badge.
On a side note, LIVERPOOL, Y U NO STAY WITH ADIDAS?

I really like Benfica’s red-white-red kit scheme. I would be very okay with it if NYRB adopted it again.
It’s been a while since we’ve had that, now that I think about it… but I absolutely hate the sleeves on that kit. Ugh.
Yeah, the sleeves kill me…they should just be plain.
I would basically want them to aim for something like this:

Can’t Nike or Adidas just read this blog, see my mockups, and decide to give me a high-paying job designing soccer kits in the greater Orlando area?
I just want a well-paying job involving design and soccer: the two things I love.

If Portland was with Nike…

And finally, a Seattle Sounders 3rd kit that isn’t loud. I used gray since the Mariners wear it, and that seems to be okay with people from Seattle.

San Jose Earthquakes, which is basically the new Ajax kit, but with the AC Milan away kit’s collar.
