Clubs We Love: MLS Western Conference
America’s #10 announced that he’ll be hanging it up at the end of this year, so I figured I’d honor him with some designs to commemorate the significant impact he’s had on American soccer, at both the club and international level.
Both of these designs can be purchased on Teespring as t-shirts (men’s and women’s), hoodies, and tank tops (unisex), and will be available until Thursday, August 21st, 2014. Each design has a 10-order minimum, meaning none of the apparel will go to print (and no one will get charged) unless at least 10 people order from each design.

Congratulations to Landon on a historic career, and I wish him an enjoyable retirement. He’s definitely earned it.
Feel free to spread the word!
Landon Donovan is calling it a career. In a candid and reflective letter to fans released on Thursday, the LA Galaxy star and all-time Major League Soccer great revealed he will retire at the end of this season, his 14th in the league and 16th as a professional.
There’s not much else to say other than thank you for everything. And that the game, especially the American game, is about to lose one of its greatest legends.
Congratulations to Landon Donovan: MLS’ New All-Time Leading Goalscorer!
Shoutout to the LA Galaxy and the Make-A-Wish Foundation for this.
After I had finished my San Jose Earthquakes concept, I kept looking at the California-flag mark I came up with and I couldn’t help but realize the opportunity to be had in making an LA Galaxy version of it. So this one’s a bit closer to the flag of California (it actually has a star in the upper left and the lower stripe on this one stays unbroken), and I feel like it gets the idea across well without being overly self-explanatory.
Could be good for fan merch or something.
Night at the StubHub Center
I know it’s inspired by the flag of Los Angeles and the club’s old colors, but this is a trainwreck, LA.
Apparently, President Obama referred to the LA Galaxy as the “Miami Heat of soccer.”
That may not entirely be a good thing… :p
The link says it all, really.
Toronto FC 2-2 LA Galaxy is the final score.
Sounders/Santos Laguna up next.
